What is the Pharmaceutical Information Technology (‘Pharma-IT’) Platform?

The Pharma-IT Platform deals with the analysis of a wide array of chemical and biological data and it is thus a discipline not only between the life sciences, but also linking life sciences with modern computational techniques.

The Pharma-IT Platform comprises two research groups with an additional number of senior scientists and academic researchers. One group is located within the Divison of Medicinal Chemistry at Leiden University and it is headed by Dr. Andreas Bender. A second group, headed by Dr. Michael T. M. Emmerich, is located within the Leiden Institute for Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) at the same university.
